Mini Notion Web App

Year of contribution: 2026

Mini Notion Web App is a block-based note editor inspired by Notion. Notes are built from text, checklist, image and code blocks, which can be reordered by drag and drop. Every change is saved automatically.

Real-time collaboration runs on WebSockets. Each open note is a room, so edits, collaborator cursors and action labels such as "checked" or "added image block" appear live in every session. Optimistic concurrency control keeps saves from different sessions from overwriting each other. Authentication uses a JWT stored in an HttpOnly cookie. The frontend is served from Cloudflare Pages, where Pages Functions forward API and WebSocket traffic to the backend, so the cookie stays first-party.

This project's tech-stack includes but not limited to NestJS, React, TanStack Router, BlockNote, Socket.io, Prisma and PostgreSQL.
